Volunteers needed to honor first responders at Oct. 1 barbecue
LA County Department of Parks and Recreation is looking for volunteers to help them hold a barbecue for firefighters and sheriff's deputies to honor them for their work on the Station Fire.
The barbecue will be Thurs. Oct. 1 at Farnsworth Park, from 11 AM- 3PM. Wes Kawano, recreation services leader of the Altadena/Foothill District of county parks and rec says: "If at all possible, we would like to get as many community volunteers as possible to assist us in setting up, serving or delivering food to the event." If you have any questions or can help out, Kawano says he can be emailed at wkawano@parks.lacounty.gov or reached on his cell at 323.273.7090.
