A report from the top of Risinghill this morning:
"We continue to see constant daily presence of either Fire engines and/or Forest Service Fire. They continue to monitor and spend a significant amount of time up here. Still no sign of the bears. So so sad."

I think the Meadows bear is now east of Allen. There was just a sighting of a large male bear rummaging through trash cans. He came through our yard two weeks ago and we we saw him heading east toward La Vina.
I saw baby bear tracks the other day at the start of the trail (before I realized I wasn't supposed to be there) and then yesterday morning there was plenty evidence of garbage scavenging bear activity on Aralia.
