The hairpin on Canyon Crest was trashed again sometime Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. County Public Works was called and responded within an hour to mark off the area. Clean-up may not happen until Monday.

I am bummed out by the fire safe council encouraging people to remove beautiful trees. At the behest of the fire council, our neighbors chopped down a huge eucalyptus that was NOT overhanging any houses and now we have no privacy in our backyard, it's covered in saw dust which they didn't clean up and I miss the big old tree. i don't want the Meadows denuded of trees! I've lived here a long time and I don;'t like this "gentrification". I am not the only one who feels this way, either! Individuals have the right to do whatever they want to their yards, but this is starting to go too far! What's next? Streetlights on Risinghill? BOOOOOOOO!
I completely agree with Claudia's comments. We sent a letter to the fire safe council that we too are disappointed about their decision to cut down so many trees. We chose to live in this neighborhood because of it's beauty and nature. By removing vast numbers of trees, we might as well live in a new development with no privacy or natural shade
