MFSC Offering Free Oaks and Toyons

Have the "Holiday Plumps"? Need to shed some lbs after the holidays? Don't join some expensive gym you'll only go to once or twice. Work off those cookies in the clean fresh outdoors!!  And if you overindulged in something else over the holidays, we have Community Service hours too.

Yes, the Meadows Fire Safe Council is having Tree Plantings every Saturday in January @ 1 pm.  We have over 150 oak trees and some Toyon (hollywood). This is your chance to actually make a forest in Altadena! If you are interested in any or all of these events just reply to this email and I will send you details (once I have figured them out). Tell your friends (and people you meet on the street)!!

I am asking this question on the blog so everyone sees the answer: Are these trees for planting in private yards, or in the National Forest area above in the foothills, or on public property - roadways and medians. Please clarify so we know what to ask for! Thanks! Jane S

Hi Jane - the info in the post is all I received from Bill. I don't know anymore about the scope of work. Anyone interested will need to contact Bill directly. Thanks,
